Very tasty, satisfying and healthy dumplings!
We used ready-made pastry for these just to save a bit of time, so all you need to do is make the filling, fill the dumplings and cook them!

Servings
25 dumplings
Prep time:
20min
Cook time:

Difficulty:
Easy
Ingredients
- 1 pack of round dumpling wrappers
- 3 cavolo nero leaves
- 1 medium pak choi
- 1 inch of ginger
- 100g minced pork
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 spring onions
- half a pack of chives
- half a pack of coriander
- 1/2tbsp sesame seed oil
- 1/2tsp salt
- 1/2tsp sugar
The only somewhat-tricky part of the recipe is to shape and fold the dumplings themselves, otherwise this is a rather straight forward recipe.
We used some mince in the recipe- just to give a bit of extra flavour, but this can be replaced with some firm tofu for a vegetarian version.
We served these alongside our other dumplings as part of a dumpling feast- but these would be perfect for a Chinese New Year or another special occasion.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Firstly, prepare the vegetables. You need to finely slice the spring onions, chives, coriander and the pak choi. For the cavolo nero, remove the hard, tough stem in the middle of the leaf, and also finely chop. Next, finely chop the garlic and ginger (after peeling).

Step 2
Combine all of the chopped vegetables and herbs in a bowl, add the salt, sugar, sesame oil, and finally the mince. Stir well to combine.

Step 3
Into the middle of each wrapper, spoon around one heaped teaspoon of the mixture.

Step 4
Slightly wet the edges of each wrapper, then fold in half into a semi-circle, pinching the edges together. Then, bring the two ends together, seal with some water and pinch them to each other.

Step 5
Repeat the same process with the remaining wrappers.

Step 6
Once you have filled and shaped the dumplings, they are ready to cook. Simply boil some salted water in a pan, then add the dumplings and cook them for 4-5 minutes. You will know the dumplings are ready when they start to float.
Enjoy!
