Ingredients
- 400g chicken wings
- 1tbsp vegetable oil
- 2tbsp gochujang
- 1tbsp rice vinegar
- 1tbsp honey
- 1/2tbsp gochugaru
- 1tbsp sugar
- 1tbsp sesame oil
- 3tsp soy sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- spring onion and sesame seeds (to garnish)
We served these chicken wings alongside some miso chicken wings and some egg fried rice.
We suggest marinating the chicken wings for at least 30 minutes but the longer the better.
If you do not have an airfrier, you can use the oven: preheat to 200 degrees C, and cook for 40-45 minutes, turning the wings half way through.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the sauce: into a bowl add the following ingredients: gochujang, vegetable oil, rice vinegar, honey, gochugaru, sugar, sesame oil and soy sauce.
Step 2
Mix everything well together, then add the chicken wings to the bowl, and ensure they are fully covered in the sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3
Place the chicken into the fridge and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
Step 4
Next, the chicken is ready to be cooked. We used an air frier here, and cooked the chicken wings for 18-20 minutes on high heat. Turn half way through to ensure both sides are cooked well and crispy.
Step 5
Whilst the wings are cooking, thinly slice the spring onion and set aside with the sesame seeds to use later for a garnish.
Step 6
The chicken wings are now ready. Toss over the spring onion and sesame seeds and serve. Enjoy!
